At Foothills Academy, adolescent males between the ages of 13 and 18 receive a wide range of therapeutic services. These services include individual, group, and family counseling as well as anger and behavior management. Foothills Academy believes in a team approach to treatment, where everyone from counselors to line staff and maintenance personnel work together to help young men turn their lives around.

One of the ways in which Foothills Academy instills a sense of pride in their residents is by teaching them independent living skills. Each resident is responsible for doing their own laundry, cleaning their house and rooms, participating in physical training, and helping to maintain the beauty of the campus.

Foothills Academy is committed to giving back to the community, and the residents are actively involved in various community work projects. They have picked up trash on littered highways, cleaned up old cemeteries, and completed many other community projects. The Academy also provides numerous recreational opportunities for the residents, such as basketball and volleyball in the full-sized gymnasium on campus. During the summer months, outdoor activities such as softball, volleyball, camping, fishing, and lake activities are also provided to promote enrichment and the development of social skills.

Foothills Academy is an accredited institution devoted to excellence in all our services. We are accredited through the Council On Accreditation.

Effective 

 Since 2002 Foothills Academy has been a licensed Residential home for young men. Foothills can house up to 72 residence.  At the facility, young males (ages 13-18) receive many services. Residents receive individual, group, and family counseling. They are active in counseling along with anger and behavior management. Foothills Academy’s approach to treatment is a team concept. It is their belief that everyone – from counselors to line staff, and maintenance personnel are responsible for helping these young men turn their lives around.
